Eligibility
One Stop is an Equal Opportunities employer. This
means that we will not permit discrimination against any
employee, customer or job applicant.
Positions within the Company are open to applications
from all individuals who have the skills and experience
required for the role.
To comply with immigration law you have to provide one of the following:
- A passport showing that the holder is a British Citizen.
- A
passport / identity card showing that the holder is a
national of European Economic Area.
- A residence permit issued
by the UK government to a national from a European Economic
Area.
- A passport or other document
issued by the UK Home Office which has an endorsement
stating that the holder has a right to residence through
a family member of the European Economic Area.
- A passport
or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder
can stay indefinitely in the UK, or has no time limit
on their stay.
- A passport or other
travel document endorsed to say that they can stay
and work in the UK.
- An applications registration card issued
by the UK Home Office to asylum seeker stating that
the holder is permitted to take employment.
Selection
Our selection processes differ from position to position
within the organisation but all are designed to ensure we
recruit the best people to work in our company and deliver
the highest levels of customer service.
Head Office (CSC) – Brownhills,
West Midlands
We use a selection of tools to gather information to help
us determine your probability for success at One Stop. These
methods allow us to make objective hiring decisions and have
been statistically proven to predict job performance. We
aim to keep you up to date throughout the selection process
and to inform you of decisions at the earliest possible time.
Some of the tools we use are:
Interviews – traditional question
and answer interviews exploring your specific job experiences
and giving you plenty of opportunity to get your questions
answered
Tests - Our tests challenge you to think
logically and analytically as well as provide us with more
information about your skills and work preferences. All our tests are administered and scored by qualified personnel.
Presentations - These exercises give you
an opportunity to demonstrate how you would handle typical
work situations.
Stores
Store Manager – once your application
has been screened for suitability you will be invited to
attend an interview with the Area Manager and/or a member
of our Human Resources team. We will be looking to identify
specific job experience and skills and assess your suitability for the
role. You may have a short numerical assessment. You will
be given all the information you need and an opportunity to ask the interviewer all about One Stop.
Sales Assistant – once your application
has been screened for suitability you will be invited to
attend an interview with the Store Manager who will assess your suitability
for the role. We'll also make sure we answer all the questions
you may have.
